Gracia is (nearly!) a lifelong Alaskan since arriving in Hoonah as a young child in 1985. She spent her youth playing in the Tongass, traveling by way of the Alaska Marine Highway and small planes, and working tourist seasons in Skagway. These early experiences continue to inspire her passion for thriving Southeast communities and way of life. After graduating high school, Gracia relocated to the “big city” of Anchorage to pursue further education and career opportunities. She received a BA in Psychology and an EMBA with an emphasis in Strategic Leadership from Alaska Pacific University. Now having over 20 years of experience in the credit union industry, Gracia has returned to her beloved Southeast and is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations for Tongass FCU in Ketchikan. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce and is a member of Rotary 2000. Mostly, Gracia is just happy to be back home on the water and among the trees.
